Dysport Injection Aftercare Steps

On the way home from your treatment, make sure to exercise the treated muscles to help the product take hold. After your Dysport injection session, it’s important to avoid laying down or bending over for at least 4 hours. That’s because changes in blood flow can negatively impact your results. You should also avoid heat exposure like hot showers or exercising since these can cause irritation. Make sure to avoid massaging or rubbing the treatment area, which can cause the product to spread and cause unwanted drooping.

Although Dysport injections can produce results slightly faster and longer that Botox for some patients, you should still count on seeing results within 1-2 weeks. After this time, you can return for a touch-up appointment for more units if needed.
