Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is one of the most popular options on the cosmetic and regenerative medicine markets. Achieve a rejuvenated look without any harsh added ingredients.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma?

PRP is a treatment method that uses your body’s natural regenerative properties to promote the growth of collagen and elastin in the skin for a more youthful, refreshed look. It works by taking a blood sample and distilling the blood into its basic components – most importantly, the plasma rich in growth factors. When injected or microneedled into the skin, growth factors can jumpstart your body’s collagen production and reduce aging signs without harsh products or active ingredients.

PRP has a variety of other uses, including for hair loss, and our experienced team can help you determine the best course of treatment for your goals.

What are the Benefits of PRP?

“First off - Ashley is amazing. She is just the kind of person I want as a first contact to a business - she is friendly, informative, and has beautiful skin (a testament to the business treatments). Shannon was very efficient in her work (I had a lash lift) and was very personable. This business definitely has me as a repeat customer on my first visit.”

- Bri

“This place is amazing, clean and friendly. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my skincare needs as well as my wax. The ladies in the front are very helpful. Shannon is awesome. Thank you!!”

What Can I Expect From PRP?

PRP treatment begins by meeting with our experienced cosmetic team to determine your goals. PRP works best as a package of treatments, so we’ll create a customized plan based on your unique needs. To begin, a blood sample is taken and placed within a specialized centrifuge. This process spins it down into its separate components. Then, your treatment area is cleansed and made ready for treatment. PRP is most commonly paired with microneedling, which is performed on the area while also applying the concentrated growth factors. This combination helps the PRP reach deep into the skin where it can effectively rejuvenate the collagen and elastin matrix. Finally, your skin is neutralized and made ready for the rest of your day.

PRP Aftercare and Results

After PRP treatment, it’s very important to avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications, washing your face, or exposing your treated skin to sunlight. You should also avoid exercising or exposing the skin to heat (such as exercising or a steamy shower). Our team will make sure you understand the best time to return to your regular skincare regimen, so plan to use a simple, unscented cleanser and moisturizer for the first few days. You may experience some slight redness and irritation, but this subsides quickly. Most importantly, try to leave the PRP on your skin for at least 8 hours after treatment.

You’ll experience some slight flaking and dryness for the first week, but afterward you’ll see a noticeable improvement in your skin’s look, feel, and tone. You may have some slight shedding, so it’s important to leave it alone and avoid scrubbing or exfoliating the skin.

Most patients benefit from a package of 3-5 treatments spaced 1 month apart. After a complete treatment regimen, you’ll see drastic improvement in your skin’s clarity and youthfulness. You can return for touch-up treatments as needed.
